People say, it takes a village to raise a child. I say, then we better take good care of the village. It takes a multidisciplinary health team to care for the village.
It’s a fulfilling Saturday at iRx Clinical Pharmacy and PanCare Medical Clinic. We kickstarted with a talk on CHAS and Healthier SG for the residents of Braddell Heights Zone C, followed by health screening and vaccination programme. This is an examplary demonstration of how close partnership with community partners can link available healthcare support to the beneficiaries to improve their care.
Through this event, we picked up several residents who have misconceptions about their health problems. We also have several residents in the high-risk age group who had not have any health checks in years. We are glad that we could use this opportunity to align their health goals and expectations.
Our event would not have been successful, if not for our multidisciplinary team. Doctors, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, clinic assistants, community partners; we play to each healthcare professionals’ strengths. Not forgetting, today we had the pleasure of having Dr Doreen Tan Su-Yin, Ms Yee Yin and Mr Ang Wei Jie, NUS undergraduate, to provide moral and physical support the event.
At iRx and Pancare, we strive for clinical excellence for the community. Stay tuned for our updates. We will be starting our chronic home care services on Monday, 29 May 2023.
